Dear Dave:

Now that your crew has finished the painting and deck project for us, I'd like to give you our feedback. I will also stop by the Porter's Paint Store on Range Line Rd to thank them for recommending your painting service along with others we evaluated.

We are very pleased with all aspects of the job that you and your crew have done. That includes the power washing, prep, window wood repair, painting and deck staining/sealing. I did a pretty thorough job of getting bids and evaluating them using sources at my disposal. Though you were not the least-cost bidder, thanks to the recommendation of Porter's Paint Store and Angie's List, we decided to contract with your company. We are pleased we chose you.

There were very few concerns during the project and you were exceptional about working through my questions and any potential issues. The deck stain/sealer is the best example. Thanks for making sure we were comfortable and happy with the stain color.

As I consider the various tasks involved in this project, here are some specific areas that pleased me a lot:

Power washing the sidewalk (house to driveway). Considering that it's not a common request or something you normally do, I really appreciate you including it in the overall project at a very reasonable cost.
Carpentry repair of two windows. The work you did to save the windows that were showing some rot was a huge plus for us. There were other bare, or nearly bare, weathering wood areas on the house. Your crew seems to have primed and painted them to make them look great.
Working with us. After some of the older windows were painted, I was unable to open one of them. A member of your crew was very willing to assist in making sure the window was freed up and would open.
Professionalism and cleanup. Throughout the project as I interacted with your crew, I felt like they were especially interested in making sure we were happy with the end product. They cleaned up very well after each day's work and exceptionally well at the end. They were friendly and easy to talk with when we had questions or requests. They really made it a pleasure knowing the work was getting done with minimal disruption to our daily routines.
Value for the cost. As mentioned earlier in this note, your estimate was not the lowest we received; however, I believe it was the best value we could have received for the cost of the overall project. I especially appreciate the honest adjustment of the window carpentry repair costs from the original estimate and the rate you changed to add the power washing of the sidewalk. Please accept our "thanks" and extend our appreciation to your crew. When we have additional painting projects around our home, we will contact you.
